About Event

During the Spring 2018 semester, the Transition to Work event returned for its second year focusing on employment success for people with disabilities. Building upon the strong interest and positive feedback from 2017, the event expanded to two full days that offered interactive workshops, a marketplace featuring various community agencies, mock interview practice, and a highly anticipated job fair.

The four workshops focused on:

• how and when to disclose your disability
• arranging job accommodations
• customizing your resume
• introducing yourself to employers

The Job Fair held on day two provided a great opportunity for our participants to connect and network with potential employers. Some of the employers included: Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC), City of Toronto, JVS Disability Services, Royal Bank of Canada & Sheraton Airport Gateway Hotel.
